Credit Card APR Ranges
Credit card APRs vary widely by card type and by country. We track the Federal Reserve's average for US cards alongside typical advertised ranges for rewards, balance transfer, secured and store cards — plus benchmark ranges for the UK, euro area and Brazil.

How we source these rates
The US national average comes from the Federal Reserve G.19 consumer credit release via FRED (series TERMCBCCALLNS, commercial bank credit card plans, all accounts) and is refreshed at build time; if the source is unreachable the last known value is shown. Card-type ranges reflect typical nationally advertised APRs — your actual APR depends on creditworthiness. UK figures are typical representative APRs from major issuers; euro-area figures reflect the ECB composite cost-of-borrowing indicator for credit cards; Brazil figures reflect Banco Central do Brasil statistics for revolving credit card debt.
